New Product - Fluad

Fluad (inactivated influenza vaccine (surface antigen), trivalent) contains influenza virus surface antigens representative of the influenza virus types expected to circulate in the Southern Hemisphere 2018 winter season. Fluad is indicated for active immunisation against influenza in the elderly (65 years of age and older), especially for those with an increased risk of associated complications (i.e. patients affected by underlying chronic diseases including diabetes, cardiovascular and respiratory diseases). Fluad is contraindicated in anyone who has had an anaphylactoid reaction to previous influenza vaccination. Fluad (haemagglutinin 45 mcg) is available in a 0.5 mL prefilled syringe in a pack of 10.
